Big money move
Manchester City have made their move for one player today and it could cost them more than £45million if they want to sign him this month.
That player comes in the form of Shakhtar Donetsk’s Brazilian midfielder Fred who Pep Guardiola wants to add to his squad.
The player has impressed in Ukraine under Paulo Fonseca and also impressed when the side faced City in the Champions League.
The Ukrainian side are still the only side to beat Pep Guardiola’s team the season and that is a testament as to how good their team is.
With that being the case, Fred is one of their best players, if not the best and is now a target for Manchester City who have made their move.
The M.E.N claim that the Cityzens have told Shakhtar that they are willing to pay £45million for the player.
Though, that won’t be the end of that as the club have since replied claiming that the fee still does not reach their valuation of the player.
That could see the deal even go over the £5omillion mark for a player who is still only 24-years-old.
Fernandinho took the same route as Fred possibly could do and that will give both the player and Man City confidence that a deal would be good.
If the player has the same effect that Fernandinho has on the Man City side, he would certainly be worth the money.
