Man City Player You’d Least Expect Becomes First Player To Complete 100 Passes This Season

Unexpected
Manchester City’s Danilo has been revealed to be the first Premier League player to reach 100 passes in a game this season after the Liverpool clash.
The Brazilian was influential in the game at the weekend and has impressed during his opening games as a City player.
The versatile player joined the Cityzens from Real Madrid in the summer transfer window and has been used as a player in several positions in the past.
Able to play in midfield or either full-back position, the player has been a brilliant piece of business for the Manchester side.
That was further compounded by the fact he became the first player to complete 100 passes in the Premier League this season.
Not only is that impressive in itself with the calibre of pass masters in the league, it comes from a player who is often deployed as a full-back.
The stats below show that the passing stats are dominated by Manchester City players as the side sit in second place with 10 points.
John Stones, Fernandinho and David Silva all feature in the top five with Manchester United’s Eric Bailly taking up the fifth spot.

Pass completion
When it comes to pass completion rates in the Premier League, the stats tell a very similar story.
Though, it is not Danilo who was top this time round.
The Brazilian is in second with a pass completion rate of 88% but it was David Silva who finished top after the Liverpool game with 90%.
The top five were not so decorated with Manchester City players this time, with Antonio Valencia and Paul Pogba coming third and Fifth.
