Juventus chief denies Chelsea bid for Higuain

Juventus CEO Giuseppe Marotta has denied reports that Chelsea have made a £53m bid for striker Gonzalo Higuain.
Marotta does admit that his club’s attacking options look a little ‘crowded’ after the arrival of Ronaldo; it is thought they would sell the 30-year-old Higuain for £58m.
Higuain has been strongly linked with a reunion with his former Napoli boss Maurizio Sarri at Chelsea, while there has been talk of a switch to Milan, with Leonardo Bonucci moving in the other direction.
Marotta told Sky Italia: “I won’t deny that with the addition of Cristiano Ronaldo we’ve got a quality attacking department that’s a bit crowded.
“We’ll evaluate things with Higuain, but nothing concrete has arrived from Chelsea and Milan.
“He is still an important player for us. Now obviously there is more competition, but he is a professional and we are evaluating his future together with his representatives. We have great respect for him.”
