Cesc Fabregas issues ominous warning to Chelsea’s rivals

Just getting started
Chelsea midfielder Cesc Fabregas has claimed Chelsea are only getting better as they look to get back to top form.
There have been some questions about the Blues this season, but it seems that the club are settling in to life as defending Champions of England – and favourites in their Champions League group as well after what looked at times to be a difficult summer for Antonio Conte, the board and some of the players.
Cesc was speaking after Chelsea’s 6-0 win, and the Mirror report he said: “Personally I played very well, and the team as well collectively are back to, I wouldn’t say our best, but we are getting there. Slowly, slowly, hopefully we can be back on top form.
“We have been waiting for a long time to be back playing Champions League, and finally it arrived.
“It was a good performance, a good result. You never know if goals could count at the end of the group stage so we just keep going.”
Defending champions
Chelsea are aiming to defend their title in the Premier League, although this season it already looks like they’re set to face much tougher competition than they did last season, with both Manchester United and Manchester City looking ominous in their opening games, and the Premier League once again showing any side is capable of beating any other on their day.
Not only that, but Conte will want to take Chelsea at least into the knockout stages of the Champions League, and knows that the opening day win may prove huge in what is a tough group for the Blues.
Champions League success has always been a priority at Chelsea, and the club will want to prove they can mix it with the best in the world – especially after a season away from the competition last time out.
